Terms of Use

Effective July 20, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Trace, including the Trace iOS application and website. By using Trace, you agree to these Terms.

Your account

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for keeping access to your Apple account secure. Usernames are permanent in the current version of Trace. You may stop using Trace or request account deletion at any time.

Your content

You retain ownership of the Logs, Wears, Notes, Vibes, comments, and other content you submit. You give Trace permission to host, process, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service and according to your selected privacy and visibility settings.

Catalog submissions

Trace maintains a curated Fragrance Catalog. You may submit factual Catalog information for review. Approved or merged Catalog facts may remain in the Catalog without attribution after account deletion. Do not submit scraped, confidential, or infringing material.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Trace, interfere with the service, evade access controls, impersonate others, harass people, or submit unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or infringing content. We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or ban accounts to protect Trace and its community.

Scores and discovery

Trace Scores are derived from comparative rankings, not entered ratings. Community, Signals, discovery, and fit features are informational and may change as the product and available data evolve. Trace does not guarantee that any result will match your preferences.

Service availability

Trace is provided on an as-available basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Trace evolves. We will post the revised Terms here and update the effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
